Convocation Opening Ceremony & President’s Welcome Cocktail Reception
Date: Thursday 11th March 2010
Time: 1745- 2030
Convocation Opening Ceremony: Astral Room One at Burswood Convention Centre
President’s Welcome Cocktail Reception: Poolside, InterContinental Perth Burswood Hotel
Dress Code: Black Tie or Lounge suit.
Additional Tickets: A$100.00
The Opening Ceremony is a special feature of the Convocation programme and one of great significance to newly qualified fellows and members of the College who will receive their testamurs during the ceremony.
The Convocation will be opened by His Excellency the Governor of WA Dr Ken Michael AC and includes the Robert Harris oration, to be given this year by Brigadier General Michael Wholley USM of NASA. This will be a highlight!
Following the ceremony, guests will be invited downstairs for the President’s Welcome Cocktail Reception to mingle with colleagues and family whilst enjoying drinks and canapés by the pool.
WA Experience Fellowship Activity
Date: Saturday 13 March 2010

Location: Botanical Rooms, Burswood Convention Centre
Dress Code: Smart Casual
An invitation is extended to all College Fellows and Members and their respective Accompanying Persons to enjoy a true Western Australia experience. This promises delegates a tantalizing taste of some of the best wines and cheeses of WA. This event allows delegates to catch up with friends and colleagues before heading to the Convocation Fellowship Dinner for a memorable evening.

Dress Code: Business Attire

The Convocation Fellowship Dinner will present delegates with the opportunity to unwind and take in the sighs of the picturesque Swan River and city skyline. Just a short walk from the convocation venue, delegates will take in a balmy Perth evening whilst enjoying a gourmet 3 course meal accompanied by Australian wines and beers. Mingle with friends and colleagues as we celebrate the Convocation in style.
College Luncheon
Date: Sunday 14 March 2010

Location: Botanical Rooms, Burswood Convention Centre
Dress Code: Business Attire
Additional Tickets: A$60.00
The College Luncheon will bring together the RACDS community. The luncheon farewells the Convocation just past but brings everyone together for a memorable smorgasbord with local wines to match.
